Suri Alpacas Sold

Gwendoline of Halo was a surprise as far as color had gone, we never expected a white out of Cinder, her herdsire and dam Pearlescence. As many of you know we do not really do white alpacas but at the same time we are super happy with the combination of genetics. Gwendoline has a super fine lustrous fleece with a strong confirmation and big stocky frame.

Bali is a stunning bay black/true black female from some outstanding genetics. Black Jewel, Bali's dam is one of our herd matriarchs, she passes along outstanding fleece characteristics and also amazing confirmation and bone structure.

Evie is something else. Look at her markings and coloring. Evie is out of one of our favorite genetic lines on her dam's side, Reese's Pieces, Balboa's Rogue and Miramonte of PVA. Coupled with outstanding genetics on the sires side, GLR Taj. Taj's dam, GLR Tashi, is one of our foundation females that continues to produce champion cria. Taj has given us not only appy offspring but also modern grey. Evie is a super sweet girl that carries both of her grand dam's and her dam's colors in her unique fun pattern.

Arcadia of Halo is a stunning true black juvenile female that is already exhibiting a high degree of luster, density and fineness. At only 6 months of age, she has developed a lovely overall suri type and a strong conformation that coupled with her fleece qualities is sure to only improve with age. Arcadia's dam, GLR Alpha, is a true black champion Cinders daughter, that has passed on her positive suri traits to Arcadia. Both of Arcadia's parents are true black with strong genetics that go all the way back to great grand dams and sires. Arcadia's sire, RGSA Dante, is out of a well known production female, Way Too Cool, and sired by another well known true black suri Herdsire, MMALP Goldstar's Vader. Arcadia’s sire, RGSA Dante, has gone on to accumulate several Championships and also a Judge’s Choice! Dante has an extremely dense fleece with a high degree of luster, a beautiful penciled lock to the skin and a very strong body structure. Centry has an outstanding head with tons of coverage, luster and density. His dam, GLR Tasani, genetics consist of GLR Kolaqua, GLR Tashi (Young Felipe & Shavano). Due to COVID-19 Centry along with all of our 2019 cria didn't get a chance to show. We are looking forward to having Centry participate in the show ring come 2020 Fall show season. Jasper is a product of our Supreme Champion female, Jemma of Halo, and of our outstanding male, GLR Taj. Jasper, aka Jaspy, is a stunning modern grey male, when he was first born he was a fawn appy male but has grown not only into his beautiful grey fleece but his adorable big ear. Jasper's dam, Jemma, unfortunately passed away when he was 12 days old, but he is a fighter. After quick transition to bottle feeding we worked tirelessly to have another female except him as their own. Fortunately we had two amazing moms take him on and eventually, GLR Tasani became his full time mom. Tasani is not only nursing her own cria Honey but Jasper as well. As Jasper ages his fleece get even more amazing with his grey fleece, which is exhibiting high density and luster with a softness of handle.

Walter is a stunning male by GLR Taj and our of Sophora of Halo. He was crowned the 2021 AOA National Fleece Show Reserve Color Champion!

Honey McQueen started her show career at just 6.5 month of age. She is a stunning fawn female with a unique coloring with nearly a taupe coloring. Judges commented about her lock structure, cool soft handle and the amount of fleece and luster she was displaying at such a young age. We look forward to seeing how she will develop as she ages. Her herdsire, GLR McQueen was killed in August 2020 to a cougar attack before we were able to have any babies on the ground. We have to say we are not disappointed in anything that he produced. Keep an eye on this girl.

Ethel Mae, sired by GLR McQueen out of Kizmit of ATV, is a stunning fawn female, at 6 months of age Ethel is displaying a high degree of luster and structure. Judge, Arturo Pena. Raved about her size at 6 months of age, the high degree of luster, softness of handle and structure at such a young age. We look forward to seeing how she will develop as she ages. Fiorana of PVA is the result of two great lines of genetics coming together to produce champions. Fiorana's dam Peruvian Fawn Alli is one of Park View Alpacas oldest foundation females that has time after time produced Champions. Sired by multiple time Color Champion Montoya of PVA. Fiorana has produced some of the most outstanding animals on our farm.

Katniss is an extremely sweet girl with an extremely dense lustrous fleece that will knock you out. She is a beautiful light brown color with a tinge of grey. That tinge of grey led me to want to breed her with BKNRD Silver Granite for that possibility to pull the grey out of her and produce a remarkable cria. We are willing to throw in a breeding to Silver Granite for her if you want to take her home. Katniss does not have a show record due to an injury she had sustained while she was a cria. She had to undergo surgery on her front left leg to have a screw inserted through the "elbow". This has not hindered her any other way. She is a sprite female that I often times see running with our cria.

Midnight Fantasy is tall and elegant—graceful when she walks. She is quiet and peaceable. So far she has delivered her crias easily and with a minimum of assistance. Her milk production is good. Both of her daughters enjoyed good health and excellent care from their dam, and both have made their mark in the show ring. To date, Midnight Fantasy has borne two female crias by MacGyver's Balboa. Balboa's Fanfare was born in 2009. Balboa's Midnight Fancy was born in 2010. Midnight Fantasy gave birth to a male cria by Black Obsidian of PVA in August of 2011.

Mocking Jay is probably my favorite Silver Granite cria thus far. One of her many nice qualities is her sweet disposition. She has a beautiful fleece with a deep brown color and has incredible luster and also lock that goes skin deep. Miramonte of PVA has been a reliable producer for Park View Alpacas since 2005. Her sire, PVA Mahogany Prince, is one of our finest males that we've ever produced--and he in his turn has passed along his reputation as well as his genes. Her dam, DPA Minnie, was one of our best-ever females--her legacy can be seen in the shimmering luster inherited and passed along by her offspring. Miramonte's 2006, offspring Mikimoto of PVA received a Color Champion at the 2008 AOBA Nationals also a Color Champion at the 2008 GWAS. Mirante of PVA, Mirmonte's 2007 cria, received a Color Champion at the 2009 CABA Classic and also a Reserve at the 2010 AOBA Nationals. Both Mirante and Mikimoto were both sired by Diamonte of PVA. Runaround Sue is one of our jet black foundation females. A Boreas daughter, Sue has given us jet black in both of her first two cria with beautiful fiber and excellent luster and conformation. We are pretty pumped about both of these offspring. GLR Sly, is a working herd sire and his sister GLR Sunita was purchased by Ray and Candy McMahan of Raynay Alpacas at the completion of her show career in 2016.

Fashionista is the last Durango daughter born in the US before her papa left the country. She is a wonderful little foundation female and we are thrilled to have her on the ranch. Her first cria was GLR Francista, a beautiful black female sired by GLR Bacchus, who sold in the winter of 2013. Fashionista's 2013 cria was yet another true black beautiful cria, this time a son, and sired by GLR Rastamon, GLR Falcon. Fashionista's 2014 cria is a true black little girl, GLR Fransisca,who even at a very young age looked promising enough for us to be thinking she is going to be another girl we take on the road with us in 2016. Also on the road with us in 2016 is Fashionista's 2015 true black female cria GLR Faberge who looks pretty promising and will be very competitive as a yearling in the show ring.. Fashionista's 2017, Rastamon Cria, Foxtrot, a true black female. So far she has been three for three in producing black cria.

Alleycat is a true black Cinder's daughter out of our true black champion GLR Ali. Ali had a notable show record during her years in the show ring, wrapping it all up in 2011 as the Black Champion Suri at the Suri Network fiber show. As a Shavano grand daughter, with Cinders as her papa, and Ali as her mother, Alleycat has a powerful pedigree of true black. Her sire Cinders is the 2016 Dark Herd sire of the year and is closed to outside breedings. Add to this pedigree recipe the fiber characteristics on both sides of her pedigree notable for luster, fineness and independence of lock, we think she will be fun to watch as she matures. Her micron test just came in at 19.5. She is that dark blue black with no tipping that always turns heads. She ought to be a serious contender in the show ring as a yearling.

Alta, a beautiful black female, is out of GLR Alia, who was the 2014 AOA Nationals Black Female Color Champion, the 2014 AAA Futurity Female Black Color Champion, the 2014 MAPACA Jubilee Reserve Black Female Color Champion and the 2014 Suri Network Black Color Champion. Alia's mother GLR Allelujah has produced multiple Futurity Champions. Alta's sire, Cinders, is closed to outside breedings. This little girl has an impressive pedigree of black champions on both sides of her lineage and ought to be an outstanding addition to anyone's foundation female line up now that she has retired from the show ring. At her first two shows she was 3rd at the 2015 AOA Nationals and the 2015 AAA Futurity as just a young juvenile. She is bred to GLR Taj, a beautiful grey herd sire that we have high hopes for in terms of production results. Alta has produced 3 beautiful, fine fleeced and lustrous males sired by GLR Taj, Lima (Fawn)2017, Lorde Greystoke (Modern Grey)2018 and Tarzan (Modern Grey)2019. Alta's 2021 Joaquin male, Atlas, is a stunning brown male with black tipping and amazing density and lock already. He has potential for Herdsire material.

GLR Faberge is a Rastamon daughter out of our black Durango daughter, Fashionista. GLR Rastamon was the AAA Futurity 2015 Reserve Dark Herdsire of the Year and has produced many champion offspring. Black runs deep on both sides of Faberge's pedigree and this little girl looks to be maturing nicely with excellent lock, density, luster and conformation. Her first micron test just came back as 19.3. She was a bit young to show spring of 2016 but she should make a splash next year as she starts her show career as a yearling!

GLR Tasha exploded with fleece during her yearling show season. She is upright and correct and has a soft lustrous fleece with great penciling. Her full sister GLR Tashina was the first Grey Judges Choice ever to be awarded.Tasha's mother Tashi, has a pedigree with a powerhouse of Champion winning genetics- Tasha's grandmother GLR Tica, a deep mahogany brown was one of the first colored animals to win a Judges Choice Award. Tica's Sire, Shavano was the Herdsire of the Year in 2010. Tasha's grandfather Young Felipe was a five time Color Champion in his day. GLR Tica is a dark brown incredibly dense and lustrous Shavano daughter, one of the first Shavano kids that Brad and Jandy have ever shown. Her mother, Tambora of Peru was one of our favorite dams who we sold at our Great Lakes Classic II sale in 2009. We purposely kept Tambora's daughter Tica, as we were not willing to let go of her mama's genetics due to her track record. When we bought Tambora, it was because of her extreme density and high luster, and Tica has inherited both those traits and more from her papa. Shavano is extremely dense and lustrous as well. Tica was shown in 2009 as a juvenile and was Reserve Brown Female Color Champion at both the AAA Futurity and Mapaca, and she won her class at AOBA Nationals. In her final year of showing she was the 2010 Reserve Brown Female Champion at the AAA Futurity and Brown Female Color Champion and Judges Choice at the 2010 GWAS in Denver and the 2010 AOBA Brown Female Color Champion at Nationals. She was bred to our 5 time Color Champion, 3/4 Accoyo Young Felipe, and had a beautiful beige high luster female, GLR Tashi, who will did well in the show ring spring 2011 and is now a foundation female at the ranch. Tica had a very nice Young Felipe daughter, GLR Tessa who only showed two times in 2013 and was Color Champion at both the 2013 AOBA Nationals and MAPACA. Tica's 2015 male cria, GLR Tico, sired by Cinders, the 2016 Dark Herdsire of the Year is a true black solid male who did very well in the show ring as a juvenile. Tica's 2017 offspring went on to win 2019 Futurity Color Champion for brown suri female. 2018's cria from Tica, Jolene of Halo took multiple championships for a true black female.

Koko, sired by Condor is one of the last of her kind. This is another youngster Brad and Jandy purchased with the idea of breeding her to Platinum Marquis when she grew up. She did not disappoint - Her first cria was a beautiful grey Platinum Marquis female, GLR Kiva who was first in her class at the 2008 AAA Futurity, won AOBA Nationals 2008 Grey Female Color Champion and is full of presence and just as beautiful as can be, even still. Kiva had the greasiest handle and the most extreme luster as a youngster of any grey we had ever produced in our program our first 28 years. Koko's 2010 cria, GLR Kokolatte is a dark silver grey, super lustrous Synergy daughter was a member of our 2011 showstring and the Mapaca Grey Reserve Champion and a AOBA Nationals Grey Color Chamopion before she retired to be one of our very favorite modern grey foundation females at home. Koko has just been one of those girls that produces great cria no matter who we breed her to. When bred to black or grey or brown she makes a killer cria. Elsa is a daughter of Ben's Boy who is a AAA Futurity White Male Color Champion and has Uribe, NGG Cortez, and 4P Black Gold in her pedigree. Elsa was first bred to Young Felipe, our 5 time White Color Champion and produced a high luster, 17.8 micron count beautiful male, GLR Apatche, who was a member of our 2009 show string. Elsa had a beautiful little girl, GLR Etta James, another Young Felipe kid who was sold at the 2010 AAA Futurity. Elsa was bred next to our mulitple winning grey color champion, GLR Kolaqua and had an adorable, wooly rose grey female, GLR Eliza who was member of our 2011 show string and sold the same year. Elsa had a very nice 2013 Rastamon daughter, GLR Ella, sired by GLR Pablo, a Shavano son, who showed at the 2014 MAPACA Jubilee and was 1st in her class. Elsa's 2014 cria was GLR Eldorado, a bay black Rastamon son who was the 2015 AAA Futurity Black Male Color Champion and was purchased by The Midnight Moon Alpaca Farm at the AAA Futurity Sale in 2016.Her 2015 male cria, GLR Equator, is a beautiful brown Picasso son who ought to be competitive in the show ring in 2017 as a yearling. Sandra is a beautiful rose grey female out of our 12 time champion Silver Granite and Minnehaha of PVA. Sandra's full brother, Granite's Tribute to Roy, did really well during his show career gathering 6 blue ribbons! We expect Sandra to do the same. GLR Aleah comes from the 2016 Futurity Herdsire of the year, Cinders, and from one of GLR's top producing foundation females, GLR Allelujah. Cinders has continued to produce outstanding black offspring; GLR Aleah being one of them. GLR Allelujah has produced multiple banner winner offspring and we expect nothing less for Aleah. Aleah has an amazing amount of fleece for a 4 month old. This is one you need to get your hands on to get a true understanding of how soft her handle is. And to top it all off, she is quite the sweet heart. She is very curious and loves to come up and say hi.

GLR Teagan is out of GLR Tica (multi-banner winner and a Judge's Choice) and by the 2016 and 2017 Futurity Herd Sire of the Year, Cinders. Her grandmother, 4P Kenamari, is a well known producer of auction high sellers and Champion and blue ribbon cria. Skye is a classic medium silver grey girl, with wonderful colored genetics from the late 4P Condor who is well known in the industry for producing the kind of offspring that really turn heads. Skye had a black Shavano son in 2011 and her 2012 classic grey beautiful son, GLR Santana rocked the show ring in 2013.In 2014 , GLR Santana has won the AOA National's and AAA Futurity Grey Male Color Championships. He is a clone of his dad Kolaqua and very much like his sister Tashina. His micron test came back at two years of age with a 19.3. Tashi was bred to CInders and had a fawn female GLR Tasha who will be traveling with us on the show circuit in 2017. Tashi is bred back to Kolaqua and expecting in late fall of 2016.Her son Taj has earned a solid spot in our stud row for service this year. We can't wait to see what he produces!

Gracella is a beautiful foundation female, purchased at an AOBA Auction from White Mountain Suri Alpacas, Bennett and Renee Brewer. She is a Montoyo daugher out of Mystere Jax with a pedigree that includes Ramilo, Renzo, Fine Threads Jax with plenty of colored genetics in the mix. She has awesome conformation, excellent luster and lock and a very pretty head. Her offspring have been beautiful as well with the same consistent lock and luster and density passed on by their mother. She is bred to Rastamon and expecting a May 2017 cria.

GLR Janessa is a combination of two of the very best producing alpacas on our farm: Cinders and LCA Jaimica. Cinders is the 2016 Futurity Herdsire of the year and has continually produced champions year after year. Janessa's Dam, LCA Jaimica has produced a champion in each of her previous 5 offspring, including 2 Judge's Choice! The last time Cinders and Jaimica got together they produced an amazing dark brown male, GLR Justice, who won a total of 6 banners during his show career. The group of genetics that Janessa has, is a known high producer of quality. GLR Austin in the 2015 cria of our celebrated GLR Amelita. Amelia is one of our very best producers of elite offspring over the years as you would see if you looked up her offspring and their show records. Can you say genetics? Wow this boy is loaded on both sides! GLR Equator, is a Picasso son out of YBNF Elsa's Legacy. Picasso has sired two Judges Choice females, one brown, GLR Amayah, who was the 2014 AAA Futurity Judges Choice Female and GLR Jamiyah a true black female who was the 2015 AOA Nationals and the MAPACA Jubliee Judges Choice Female. Austin's mother Elsa has been a good producerover the years but this guy is probably one of her best. Austin even at his young age now has excellent coverage, luster, bone, presence, finness and lock and an initial micron of 19.5.

GLR Tico is the son of GLR Tica who was one of the very first females to be awarded a Judges Choice award as a colored suri. She has gone on to produce many champions including a grand daughter, GLR Tashina who was the very first Grey Judges Choice, male or female. Tico's sire Cinders is the 2016 Dark Herd Sire of the Year and has been making name for himself with his offspring the past few years in the show ring. Cinders' son GLR Cazadores was the 2015 AOA Black Male Color Champion, and his son GLR Justice was the Reserve Brown Male Color Champion ( both at seven months old) to name a few. Tico has excellent bone, conformation, density, lock and luster and did every well in the show ring in 2016 as a juvenile.

Finally a true black male from Silver Granite! We've waited a few years for this one and for him to be out of one of the best Park View foundation females.... wow! Xavier should be quite the herdsire when he comes of age. He has a tremendous amount of fleece for his age and his locks are forming all the way to his skin.

Sir Phillip Sinclair is the second true black male sire by Silver Granite this year! We are very pleased with the amount of luster this little guy is showing already. His Dam, Silvia of PVA, is a daughter of the 2006 Futurity color champion Silvana of PVA. We expected great things from Sir Philip.

Tyrion of Halo is one of the best brown alpacas that Silver Granite has produced. His dam, Syrenity of PVA, is a Wyuna daughter that held her own during her show career picking up a 2nd place ribbon at the 2014 Futurity. Ringer is Pearlescense's (aka Pearl) first cria and he does not disappoint! Ringer has some fabulous genetics on both sides. His Dam is from Wyuna and Mikimoto of PVA. Mikimoto was a 2008 National Color Champion. This guy is one you really need to see in person to get a true idea of his fleece quality. It is silky, silky, silky. We have high hopes for him as a multi for the 2017 show season.

Cinders has done it again. A beautiful true black male we call Suton. At 4 months old Suton is showing a great degree of density and luster. His Dam, AWH Runaround Sue, is proving to be quite the black producer. Her 2014 cria, GLR Sunita, sired by GLR Rastamon, was the 2016 Futurity reserve champion. We expect Suton to hold his own this spring in the show ring! We now co-own Suton with Cindy Harris of Alpacas at Windy Hill!

GLR Abott is another great example of what Cinders can produce! He is the 2018 AOA Naitonal Invited Champion! He has wonderful fineness and superior density. His Dam, GLR Amelita, has produced 2 judges choice (GLR Amayah and GLR Blackout) and 6 banner winners throughout her breeding career. Here's your chance to own one of the best!!

GLR Dean is sired by the great GLR Kolaqua. Kolaqua has always thrown amazing fawns and Dean can be added to the list! His Dam, Platinum Delilah, is one of only 2 registered greys from Goldstar! She has already produced a color champion in GLR Django, and will continue to be a great foundation female for us. Dean is available for purchase and should have a great 2018 show season!

Phantom of Halo has all of the desired attributes of a grey herd sire. He has stellar conformation, one of the softest fleeces we've ever felt on a grey, outstanding luster, and a great lock style. His sire, BKNRD Silver Granite, has been punching out the greys left and right for us. Over 50% of his offspring have been grey! His dam, Midnight Fantasy of PVA, was a top producer for Park View Alpacas, and continues to knock 'em out of the park for us! Keep an eye on this guy as a yearling as he is sure to turn some heads!

GLR Kowboy Kohl is a great example of what happens when you cross the 2015 Reserve Herdsire of the Year, GLR Rastamon, to a National Champion, GLR Kokolatte. Kowboy Kohl stands out in the pasture as he has very unique markings on his face. It's hard to find any fault with this guy at all. His conformation is excellent, and his fleece is amazingly silky and soft. It has that cool to the touch feeling we all dream about when talking about suris. Kowboy Kohl is off to a great start by placing 1st at the 2017 ABI and WAC shows. He will be a great addition to our 2018 show string!

Sir Ulrich is a fantastic true black male out of GLR Nico and Kizmit of ATV. He has very desirable fleece characteristics, with a sturdy frame.

Cinders, Kolaqua, and Shavano all in one! GLR Lima is one of our favorites from our 2017 crop of crias. He has an incredible amount of luster that blinds you when you open his blanket. His Sire, GLR Taj, will be used more and more on our farm as he has proven to pass all of the desired fleece and conformation traits to his offspring. Lima's Dam, GLR Alta, has both Cinders and Shavano in her background, which is very hard to come by in today's market. Look for Lima at the 2018 Futurity and CABA Classic! Papa Brown was everything we hoped to get from an outside breeding to GLR Nico. His Dam, Wyuna's Astoria, is going to be a top producer for us in the near future. Papa Brown has a great degree of luster and a spectacular lock to his fleece. Get your hands on him to see for yourself!

Astin is a stunning male out of Wyuna's Astoria of PVA of Champion Bloodlines on both dam, Shirazof PVA and sire side, Chakotah's Wyuna. Astin's sire Cinders has produced many champions and I don't think that Astin will fall short. With a high degree of luster, density and tremendous overall converage. He has black tipping on his nose and toes. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 Astin and all of our 2019 cria didn't get a chance to prove themselves in the show ring. Ricky Fowler is a stunning beige Cinders male out of one of our Chakotah Wyuna dam's. Ricky is a gentle giant. Fredricka's McClintock of Halo is an outstanding lustrous male with a slick, cool handle and a striking confirmation and look. McClintock is sired by the first grey male to ever receive Futurity Herdsire of the Year. Peruvian Silver Heat who received the 2011 Futurity Dark Herdsire of The Year. Aside from McClintock's color he has a striking resemblance to his sire. McClintock just started his breeding career, watch out for what's to come.

Here's another grey male sire by 12 time Champion Silver Granite! Tiberious's fleece is one that you have to see and feel in person to truly admire. His Dam, Sienna of Halo (from the Silvana of PVA line) was one of the first cira at Halo Ranch. She has always been a sweet heart and we had a hunch she would produce a grey with Silver Granite.

Granite's Titanium, from the day he was born, has shown outstanding confirmation. Titanium has a great degree of luster and a very tight lock. His Dam, Shiraz of PVA, is from the 2006 Brown National Champion and 2006 IAO Supreme Champion Syrah of PVA. With this amazing line of genetics, we know Titanium is bound to be a great herdsire. Kingsley is a magnificent alpaca. He was crowned the 2014 CABA Classic Color Champion in a very competitive class that included some amazing alpacas. His dam, Kiera of PVA, is our top producing dam on the ranch. Every cria she has produced as won a purple banner. She has produced quality alpaca after quality alpaca. So far she has three purple banner cria to her name. His sire is none other than the 17 time color champion MacGyver's Balboa. You can tell right away that Kingsley is a Balboa son. He has that dense, lustrous, silky fleece that we all have come to expect from a Balboa cria. Kingsley is ready to start breeding right away and we expect nothing but remarkable cria from him.

GLR Taj was the last cria born on the GLR ranch in 2013. And what a way for him to end up our birthing season. This little guy, at the time they thought to be one of their very best cria born on the ranch that year. He is an absolute clone of his sire, GLR Kolaqua, who was a two time AOBA Grey Color Champion. He has the tell tale wrinkled skin that comes with density which doesn't surprise us, as his dad's first shearing weight was almost 12 pounds. He had more wrinkles in fact than any other grey they have ever produced on their ranch. His mother GLR Tashi, is the daughter of GLR Tica who was a Color Champion and one of the very first colored Judges Choices.He has a pedigree packed with colored genetics, excellent fiber characteristics and conformation and we have high hopes that this young boy will be as successful as his papa both in the show ring and as a breeder of champion offspring. His full sister, GLR Tashina was the Reserve Grey Female Color Champion as a juvenile at the 2013 AAA Futurity and MAPACA and Grey Color Champion at the 2014 AOA Nationals. GLR Tashina ended her show careers by being named the very first grey Judges Choice, male or female. Taj at 25 months old, had a micron of 19.3. His regrowth is impressive and he has matured superbly. He has taken his place in our stud row and we are actively using him in our breeding program this year. We look forward to seeing what he produces in 2017.

Cinders is the 2016 and 2017 AAA Futurity Dark Herd Sire of the Year and the 2018 Reserve Dark Herd Sire of the Year! He is also a 3 time Herd Sire of the Year for the Medium Breeder Division! Cinders had his first offspring on the ground in the spring of 2012 and his kids showed at the 2013 GWAS in Denver coming out of the ring with blue ribbons and much acclaim. Of the four entered all four won blue ribbons with Mystique going on the win the Reserve Color Championship. With a biopsy density of 67.5 at four years old, this guy has some impressive fiber stats. His first Great Lakes Ranch offspring certainly did not disappoint in 2015 nor in 2016. Needless to say Cinders is a welcome addition to our herd sire line up. Cinders is closed to outside breedings. GLR McQueen is a full brother to his sister, true black GLR Miss Phoebe who rocked the show circuit in 2015 as a juvenile. McQueen, a fawn boy, has all the same fiber characteristics as his sister: fineness, density, lock, extreme luster and the wavy lock that we always hope for. His mother Midnight Rock is a true black Rockstar daughter with extreme coverage, luster and density that she has passed on to all her cria. Midnight Rock passed away in 2018 leaving behind her legacy. McQueen's sire Cinders, the 2016, 2017 and 2019 Dark Herd Sire of the Year and Reserve Dark Herdsire of the Year 2018 has been carving out a name for himself in the past few years with his offspring performing well in the show ring. Cinders is closed to outside breedings so this up and coming herd sire presents a great opportunity for serious breeders to add outcross diversity to their foundation breeding program. This fawn male, the product of two black parents, had a excellent start to his show career winning at only seven months the Reserve Fawn Male Championship at both the 2016 AOA Nationals and the AAA Futurity. His full sister GLR Miss Phoebe was the 2016 AAA Futurity Black Female Color Champion this year as a yearling. McQueen was crowned the 2017 AOA Dark Supreme Champion! GLR Pastor is a Paloma son, sired by Cinders. Paloma over the years has produced a long list of beautiful award winning kids who have gone on to produce some great offspring of their own. Notable cria were, GLR Picassa, Pamona, Picasso, Pablo, and Paulo. Her grand daughter, GLR Amayah, sired by her son Picasso, was named the 2014 Futurity Judges Choice Female, and was the AOA Nationals, AAA Futurity, MAPACA Jubilee and Suri Network Brown Color Champion. Even at Paloma's age now, she shines like a brand new penny and has incredible luster and lock. Cinders, Pastor's dad, had an awesome year in 2014 with his first crop of kids in the show ring, including one of his daughters, SPARS Vicki's Sweetie Pea, a white female, who won the Color Championships at AOA Nationals, AAA Futurity, MAPACA and was named the Judges Choice female at AOA Nationals. Not bad for a black sire. The combination of a pedigree with colored genetics and excellent fiber producing lineages from both Paloma and Cinders ought to make watching how this guy develops over the next year or so a lot of fun.

GLR Rastamon is the densest (Follicle Density 68, micron 20.9) blackest, true black that Brad and Jandy have ever produced on the ranch. His sire is Shavano, is a true black 1/2 Accoyo Black Color Champion. His mother, LCA Jaimica, is a 5Peruvian Silken daughter, one of Snowmass Alpacas very favorite dams, and one of the reasons that they bought Jaimica from Jack and Kelly Armstrong a few years back. This guy is jet black with no tipping, what so ever, and very impressive in conformation and in bone. He stands upright and proud, even as a juvenile and was awarded the Reserve Black Male Color Championship at his first show, at seven months old, at the 2010 AAA Futurity. His first crop of kids produced plenty of Color and Reserve Color Champions and the second crop followed suit. In theory, based on his fiber stats and pedigree, we hoped that he would step up the quality of his offspring to another level from his dad, AAA Futurity 2010 Herd Sire of the Year, Shavano. So far we are more than impressed with his kids and have him bred to more than half of our foundation females for cria in 2014! His offspring in 2015 earned him the title of AAA Futurity Reserve Dark Herd Sire of the Year. GLR Rastamon is closed to outside breedings, however, for the right farm we may consider 1/2 interest.

GLR Rodeo could be a clone of his full siblings, GLR Rockoro and GLR Rainier (each National Champions). His mother Peruvian Rocksann, a Rockstar daughter was one of the densest females on the ranch, even as she aged. His fleece, also like his siblings is a spinner and knitters dream with luster and lock and that beautiful modern grey. His dad's first fleece weighed in at almost over 11.8 pounds. It is always fun to watch these guys mature and we think that Rodeo will be no exception. Sadly we lost his mother this spring so he is the last of his kind from her genetics. He had a great start to his show career as a juvenile in 2016.

AFD of 16.8 microns! GLR Sly is going to be one cool herd sire. His mom, AWH Runaround Sue is a gorgeous true black Raven Beauty daughter, sired by AWH Boreas so Sly has some serious black and colored genetics on both sides of his mom's lineage. Sue's coverage and fiber were notable and that deep jet black with no tipping. Then add GLR Rastamon's black genetics and density from Shavano to Sly's make up and you just might have a recipe for some some amazing colored genetics in Sly's offspring . His initial fiber test came back with a micron of 16.8. Given he turned 3 in September of 2016 he is ready to go to work for some serious breeder interested in black genetics.
